The Beechgrove Garden Comes to Rothesay Joint Campus

On the 10th/11th September 2008, The Beechgrove Garden Team filmed the campus garden as one of only four chosen projects this year.

The filming focussed on a variety of things within the garden that have been designed by Lynn Harris the team’s landscape designer. Also included in the garden is a modular seat designed and made by Ray Beverley in conjunction with pupils from the academy. The seat will have sensory plants at either end for visitors to the garden to enjoy as they take a break on the seat.
 
A huge amount of work has been put in by lots of people from the community on the vegetable garden and will enable pupils to grow their own vegetables and eat them in the canteen.
The filming crew also focussed on other gardens on the island. The programme aired
on Wednesday 17th September.
