Global Partnership - Malawi Partnership |

In tandem with the ‘Spirit Aid’ fundraising for Malawi, Rothesay Joint Campus, supported by Links Community Development and Learning Teaching Scotland is planning to set up a partnership with a Primary School in Malawi. There is no universal Secondary Education in Malawi so this will involve all pupils in Rothesay Joint Campus, as Primary schools in Malawi can cover the full range of ages from 5 through to 18. Links Community Development is in the process of matching us up to a suitable school in Malawi.
This will be another great opportunity for pupils and teachers throughout the campus to communicate with students and their teachers in the Malawi school, work on joint projects together and share ideas and resources. The whole partnership will be managed by Links Community Development who will organise delivery of mail and other items guaranteeing all communication will arrive at the same time. They will also help organise exchanges of pupils. Once we have information about our partner school we will be able to decide how best the schools can support each others learning. The aim would be to involve the local community in this partnership so that we allow as many pupils as possible in both Malawi and Bute to benefit from this programme. One of the first tasks our pupils will have is to build up a profile of our school and our community that we can share with our partners.
